wrote a whole long entry the other day which got mysteriously deleted before i could even post it! aargh!! hate it when that happens.now i have to reproduce everything..shall try hard to remember. wooah..haven't written anything in about a month. haven't been on the computer much the last couple of weeks cos my sis, lionel and vinny were here. =) had a pretty good time.anyway, the highlights:

1) climbing up the big hill at whytecliff park at horseshoe bay, and having wine and strawberries there. =)

2) the four of us going for a morning jog, and me bailing out after awhile. ok fine! it was after 5 minutes..but it's 5 minutes uphill!! =P me and vinny ended up going to blue lagoon at lynn canyon, and then to sunbathe on the rocks and throw stones in the water at lynn headwaters. haha...that was nice. had jap buffet after! good!

3) having a really nice barbeque picnic at buntzen lake.-- ambushing and attacking my sis and lionel with well-hidden water bombs..and later pails of water..haha..the food was good as well!! heehee....ended up just sitting in the lake and admiring the scenery.

4) going on this small boat trip planned by my dad with 2 other families. the waters got really choppy when we got out to sea, such that the boat was repeatedly flying up and crashing back into the waves. hahah....everyone else was puking like crazy in the lower cabin, but the four of us were on the upper deck on the helm laughing, yelling and screaming into the wind and waves. pure ecstasy for me man! free natural roller coaster complete with sea splash! i was like all wet after. we were singing too...christmas songs(because some dumbass started it..haha..=P) and row,row,row your boat. and then, wah lau, my sister like started her own ge ren yan chang hui of chinese songs...not sick also sick already..hahaha..kidding lah..=P anyway, we landed on thetis island which was kinda disappointing. not at all the clear waters and sandy beaches of an exclusive island i was expecting. all we got was sunburnt. haha...oh well...anyway, on the way back, we played bluff, and me and vinny beat my sis and lionel!! oh yeah! well..i did win the game first..haha..

5) going on this 5 day trip to the rockies.
adventures/mishaps:

-me accidentally flicking vinny's glasses into the water at emerald lake. =( felt so bad about it. anyway, we both went into the water which was freezing to try to find it. haha..kinda funny...after a bit of stepping and groping, my dad decided to jump in too..and he did find it!! which was amazing as they were frameless and really hard to see.

-feeling really cheated by best western hotel for their really high rates, so us deciding to 'claim' from the hotel what they owed us..and note, leaving behind what BELONGED to the hotel..haha..we decided to get up really early to eat much as possible from the breakfast provided. but guess what? they were already a step ahead of not letting us take advantage of them. there were only croissants, muffins and cereal!! placed on a puny table at the reception, and there wasn't even a proper place to sit down at!! vinny, feeling really cheated out of his looked-forward-to scrambled eggs, took like this whole load of packaged jam. haha..and lionel managed to 'kope' lots of herbal teabags..HAH. take that people. =P

-canoeing/boating on the beautiful turquoise-blue waters of lake louise. the lake is surrounded by these majestic snow-capped mountains..and as you sail past them, you just feel so small and in awe. amazing.

-shermaine falling into the water while being too afraid to walk on the logs. hahaha...scaredycat..pulled my dad into the water too.

hmm...can't remember if anything else special happened.
anyway, for the record, places we visited were emerald lake, lake minnewanka, lake louise, morraine lake, bow river, takkakkaw falls and castle mountain. some others too i guess, but these are the main highlights.
didn't really do much with my sis after we came back from our trip cos she had to leave in like 2 days. did spend some time talking with tho..and that was nice. oh yah!! we did go to lonsdale quay to eat fresh dungeness crabs and mussels. really good! yuum. =) anyway, she had to fly from seattle, so my parents drove them there while vinny and i took the bus there. bus ride was kinda fun, tho we slept most of the way. really did miss seeing her walk around the house after she left.
anyway, vinny spent another week here after my sis and lionel left. didn't really do that much, just lazed around the house, watched a couple of movies..oh yah! we watched charlie's angels too!! gooood!

anyways, highlights of that week:

-sitting at lonsdale quay, staring out into the sea, enjoying the breeze and carving our names into the wooden bench there.

-eating at gen sushi like 10 billion times..haha...well, food IS good.

-eating jap buffet at denman street. running there, ordering like crazy cos we got there late, eating as much as possible, and me worrying that we had ordered too much, and about how they were gonna gloat at how we had ordered more than we could eat. us being woolly mammoths with our chopsticks, and him, a silly fish too.=) finally finishing all the food anyways. =D

-lying together on the sand at english bay, under the stars, beneath the full full moon, and amidst the sound of the rushing waves. really talking about things that mattered.

-lying in your arms.

-talking for 3 hours at the airport before you left.

-being loved. =)

gonna miss all that time spent with my sis, getting to know lionel better, and with my baby. =) was really a good 3 weeks. oh well, now to get stuff done, to lose some weight and to set some goals. bye!!
